STATEMENT OF GENERAL POLICY
The Group Environmental Policy is a framework under which we conduct our business in a socially responsible and ethical manner that protects safety, health and the environment. This policy recognises the importance of environmental auditing and the significant role which designers and contractors play in the industry. Although it is recognised that safety and occupational health are key issues, these Guidelines specifically address the effects of the Derbyshire Investments Operations on the environment and the natural processes within that environment.
Derbyshire Investments fully recognises the widespread implications of its operations for the natural environment and its responsibilities towards protection of that environment. Accordingly Derbyshire Investments will seek, where practicable, to promote the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and to minimise environmental pollution in all of its own activities and through its influence over others. This policy will contribute to reductions in both global warming and wastage of the earth's resources. It will also help to preserve the earth's protective ozone layer and improve the earth’s ecology.
